My nephew, Barry, liked these beets so I canned him quite a few that summer, give this recipe a try as it is really good.


List of Ingredients




4 cups sugar
2 cups beet water
2 cups vinegar
1 TB allspice
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp pickling spice


Recipe



Wash beets really good. Cook beets and when done keep water from the beets. Cut beets into cubes or slices. make syrup from the sugar, beet water, vinegar, allspice, cloves, pickling spice bring to a boil and add beets and bring to a boil then cut off heat and can. makes 6 pints.
