    Recipe Introduction

    My mom loved to cook and she taught me the love of putting together many fine meals. On many occasions we worked side by side in her warm kitchen, making different recipes. Her kitchen was always full of delicious food. On Easter we usually baked this cake together and with pride, we served the grand dessert after a hearty meal. Everyone had complements about this cake and so it became a tradition at our house on Easter. I hope you find delight in this recipe as much as our family did.

    List of Ingredients

    1 box Betty Crocker plus mix
    FROSTING:
    3 large egg whites
    dash of salt
    1/4 teaspoon tarter
    2 cups marshmallow cream
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    coconut
    colored marshmallows
    red or green food coloring

    Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tarter until soft peaks form. Gradually add marshmallow cream, continue beating until stiff peaks form. Add vanilla extract. Tint frosting with food coloring, you can tint coconut with green coloring and place around the cake to make it look like grass.
