    Apple Cider Pie

    Oh, my goodness, this pie takes the cake, ha. You just have to try it to know what I mean. We really like it a lot and I hope you enjoy it too.

    List of Ingredients

    2/3 cup sugar
    2 Tablespoons cornstarch
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    3/4 cup apple cider or juice
    3 pounds Granny Smith apples sliced thin
    2 tablespoons margarine cut into small piecesMix sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan, then stir in cider. Bring to a boil over medium heat and stir constantly, boil 1 minute until thickened and translucent. Put apples into a large bowl, add cider mixture and gently turn apples with a spatula to coat well. Place pan under pie to catch drips. Heat oven to 400. Assemble pie crust and place filling into pie crust to bake. Bake 50 to 55 minutes until crust is golden brown and apples are tender. If crust browns to quickly, cover it with foil loosely. cool pie and top with scoop of ice cream
