Barrys Super Butterscotch Pie

My nephew loves butterscotch pie so I made this one for him in 09, he said it was wonderful.
List of Ingredients
2 cups flour
2 sticks margarine, softened
1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup powdered sugar
8 ounces cream cheese softened
8 ounces cool whip,,,or make your own

2-3-3/4 pkg butterscotch instant pudding mix
3 cups milk
1 tsp vanillaRecipe
Mix flour, margarine and pecans for the pie crust and pat into a 9x13 pan and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Let cool.
Cream powdered sugar and cream cheese together, add cool whip and spread over crust.
Beat together pudding mix and milk for 2 or 3 minutes and stir in vanilla. Spread over cream cheese mixture 8 ounces cool whip, chopped pecans. Spread cool whip over topping on butterscotch layer and sprinkle with pecans, I usually add some butterscotch in a jar like you get for icecream onto top of pie and a little chocolate from a jar, makes it pretty. refrigerate 2 to 3 hours. You can also skip making the crust and use a graham cracker crust.
