Peanut Butter Pie

Crazy about peanut butter? Well just bake this sinful dessert and all of your nutty craving will disappear. This little restaurant serves up dozens of this particular pie weekly. It is truly a lip smacking dessert.
List of Ingredients
1 baked piecrust
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups scalded milk
3 egg yolks beaten
2 tablespoons margarine
1/4 tablespoon vanilla extract
3 egg whites for meringue
Mix powdered sugar and peanut butter until like biscuit mix. Spread 1/2 of the mixture on pie shell. Mix cornstarch, sugar, and salt in other half of mixture, add egg yolks and 2 cups of milk, cook until thickens. Remove from heat, add butter, and vanilla. When cool, pour into baked piecrust. Top with meringue made from the 3 egg whites. Bake at 325 until brown.
