    Pastry Pouch

    Source of Recipe

    from alicia's kitchen

    List of Ingredients

    Polish Puguch (pastry pouch)

3 pkgs. pizza crust mix or 2 pkgs. hot roll mix
4 - 5 large chopped, cooked potatoes, still warm
1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, cut into cubes
    1 medium chopped onion
    4 - 6 tbsp. butter, ( 3/4 of a stick)

    Recipe

Preheat oven to 400. Grease a jelly roll pan or a cookie sheet with sides.
Mix up the dough and divide in half.
Roll half of the dough out in the shape of your pan/sheet.
(Jelly roll pan works really well.)
Place the rolled out dough on the pan/sheet. Set aside.
Mix the cheese with the potatoes and mash up like for mashed potatoes.
DO NOT add anything to the potatoes/cheese mixture when mashing.
Spread the potato/cheese mixture, evenly, over the dough almost to edges.
Roll out the other half of the dough and put on top of the potato/cheese mixture.
Press the edges together and bake 15 minutes or a little longer, until browned well.
Brown the onion in the butter.
After the pastry is browned well, spread the onion mixture on top.
    Cut and serve.
