Chili Mafalda

Chili Mafalda
1 pound ground beef
3/4 cup chopped onion
3 cups water
1, 16 ounce jar mild or medium chunky salsa
1/4 cup ketchup
1, 15 ounce can kidney beans, (may use black
...beans or substitute 1, 10 ounce package
...of frozen corn, thawed)
1 to 2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 of a 12 ounce package uncooked San Giorgio
...mafalda pasta
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
In a laraage saucepan over medium heat, cook meat
and onion until meat browns and onion is tender;
drian. Stir in water, salas, ketchup,beans and
seasonings; heat to boiling. Stir in uncooked pasta;
reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered,for 13 minutes,
stirring every 2 minutes or until pasta is tender
and most liquid is absorbed. Sprinkle with cheese and
serve immediately.
Makes 8 servings of 1 cup each.
