Macaroni + Cheese Casserole, (10)
4 cups elbow macaroni, cooked al dente
...to package directions, (16 ounces)
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup all purpose flour
salt and ground black pepper to taste
5 cups milk
4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. In large saucepan over
medium heat, melt butter. Blend in flour, salt and
pepper; gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring
constantly, uyntil sauce thickens and mixture begins
to boil. Add cheese; stir until cheese is melted.
In 3 quart casserole, stir together pasta and cheese
sauce. Bake 30 minutes or until bubbly.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
