    grilled - Surf'n Turf Kabobs

    16 medium raw shrimp, tail shell on, but deveined.
    3/4 lg. filet mignon, cut into 1" pieces
    1/2 medium red bell pepper, cut into 12 pieces
    1/2 medium green bell pepper, cut into 12 pieces
    4 large mushrooms, quartered
    1 large onion, cut into 8 pieces
    2/3 c. toasted sesame teriyaki marinade
    8 12" metal or bamboo skewers
    (Soak bamboo skewers in water 30 minutes to prevent burning)
    8 cherry tomatoes

    Place shrimp, beef, peppers, mushrooms, and onions in a large zip lock type plastic food storage bag.
    Pour in marinade. Press air out of bag and close top securely.
    Turn bag over several times to coat all pieces well.
    Marinate 20 minutes, or overnight, turning bag over once.
    Thread each skewer alternately with mushroom, shrimp, red pepper, onion, beef and green pepper, leaving space between pieces.
    Skewer a tomato at end of each kabob.
    Grill or broil kabobs 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until shrimp turn pink.
    Makes 4 servings.
