    grilled - Tex Mex Hamburgers

    1 1/2 pounds ground beef
    1, 4 ounce can green chilies, drained and chopped
    3 ounce Pepper Jack cheese, cut into 1/4 inch cubes
    6 hamburger buns
    6 Tablespoons sour cream
    6 Tablespoons salsa
    6 lettuce leaves (optional)

    Heat grill or skillet.
    Shape ground beef into 12, 3 1/2 inch patties.
    Place 6 patties on waxed paper.
    Top each with 1/6 of the chilies and cheese.
    Place the remaining patties on top.
    Press edges to seal.
    Grill or fry until burgers are done.
    Serve on buns with sour cream, salsa and lettuce.
