    ground - Beef Goulash _#11

    1 pound lean ground beef
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    2, 16 ounce cans stewed tomatoes (cheap brand)
    2, 15 ounce cans red kidney beans (cheap brand)
    1 cup elbow macaroni (pasta) (cheapest brand)
    1 teaspoon salt (or to suit your taste)
    1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
    2 teaspoons granulated white sugar
    1 teaspoon ground chili powder
    1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
    dash pepper
    optional - add canned or frozen corn

    Brown ground beef and onion in a large skillet.
    Drain excess fat.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and simmer 30 to 40 minutes, or until pasta
    is cooked and tender, stirring occasionally.
    Makes 8 servings.
