ground - Salisbury Steak #3 with Gravy
for gravy:
1, 10 3/4 ounce can cream of chicken soup
1, 10 3/4 ounce can cream of celery soup
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon prepared shredded horseradish, (not creamy style)
3/4 cup of water
salt and pepper
for the steaks:
1 1/2 pounds of ground beef
2 egg whites or milk to equal
1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
1 packet dry onion soup mix
1/2 cup beef broth or water
cooking spray for browning
Whisk sauce ingredients together. Set aside.
Place steak ingredients in a large bowl and combine until
well mixed.
Divide mixture into 5 section.
Roll, then press down, shaping into oblong patties.
Coat frying pan with cooking spray.
Brown patties on both sides.
Drain off any excess fat.
Pour gravy over patties.
Cover and simmer 30 minutes on low.
Serve topped with fresh sprigs of parsley, if desired.
Makes 5 servings.
