steak - London Broil
2 1/2 pounds flank steak - tenderized
3/4 cup tomato sauce
1 cup molasses
3 Tablespoons water
2 Tablespoons white vinegar
1 Tablespoon salad oil
1 Tablespoon minced onions
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons each:
...prepared yellow mustard
...salt
...pepper
Mix all ingredients except steak into a sauce and pour
over meat in a bowl or dish.
Tenderize in sauce over night in refrigerator.
Lay flank steak flat in broiler with no pan.
Pour sauce over meat.
Broil about 2 inches from heat for
about 5 minutes for rare,
7 minutes for medium.
Turn meat over and cook same amount of time.
Carve into thin slices crosswise against the grain.
Serve on platter with sauce poured over the top.
