Bmachine - Cinnamon Streusel Bread
1 1/2 cups water
4 cups bread flour
3 Tablespoons dry/powdered milk
2 tTblespoons sugar
1 3/4 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
1 batch streusel from below, be
...sure to freeze at least 1 hour
Measure carefully, placing all ingredients except Streusel
in the pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
Select Sweet or Basic/White cycle.
Use Medium or Light crust color.
Do not use Delay cycle.
Add frozen Streusel at the beep signal or 5 minutes before
the last kneading cycle ends.
Remove baked bread from pan. Cool on wire rack.
Streusel mixture:
3 Tablespoons cold butter
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 Tablespoons bread flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Mix butter, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon in bowl until
crumbly. Stir in nuts.
Freeze in bowl at least 1 hour; do not remove from freezer
until ready to use. (Using butter recommended for the
Success of the streusel swirling).
Yield: 2 pound loaf
