scratch - Apple Cider Pound Cake #1
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 c. apple cider
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Coat a 12-cup Bundt pan with cooking spray;
Combine butter and shortening, mixing well. Gradually add sugar, beating
well. Add eggs,
one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine dry ingredients
and add to
creamed mixture alternately with apple cider, beginning and ending with
flour mixture.
Mix well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
Pour into pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours or until a tester comes out clean.
