Fruit Crumb Cake
3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup melted butter, (2 sticks, 1/2 pound)
1/2 level teaspoon baking soda
2, 21 ounce cans/jars fruit pie filling (apple, cherry, peach)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Sift dry ingredients. Mix with butter to make crumbs. Save
1 cup for topping. Press the rest on a cookie tray with sides.
Spoon the fruit on top. Sprinkle with the crumbs. Bake for
1 hour. Cut in squares while warm.
Note:
2 different flavors may be made on the same cake placing
a piece of foil by dividing with a piece of folded foil.
