    scratch - Pineapple Cream Cake

    for cake:
    2 cups white granulated sugar
    2 cups flour
    1, 18 to 20 ounce can crushed unsweetened pineapple
    2 eggs
    2 Level teaspoons baking soda

    for frosting:
    1, 8 ounce package softened cream cheese
    3/4 cup butter or margarine
    2 cups sifted powdered confectioners sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla

    for cake:
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
    Grease and flour 9x14x2 inch pan.
    Mix above in bowl.
    Pour into pand and bake for 25 minutes.

    for frosting:
    Mix cream cheese and butter together.
    Add the sugar and vanilla and blend until smooth.
    After cake cools 10 to 15 minutes, may put frosting on.
