cakemix - Quick Fruit Cake

1 18.25oz. box yellow cake mix
2 sticks butter
1 28oz. can sliced peaches or pears or
...mandarin oranges, (do not drain)

Preheat oven to 350. Grease an 8x8x2" square pan.
Pour fruit and their juices into pan.
Carefully pour dry cake mix over fruit and pat down.
Cut butter in about 3/8" pats and arrange over cake mix, close together.
Bake about 40 minutes or until cake is golden brown.
Can be served hot or cold, plain or with whipped cream or ice cream.
Makes 9 servings.
