    premade - Strawberry Bowl Cake

    1 standard punch bowl
    2 precooked loaves or 1 extra large angel food cake(s)
    2 3oz. pkgs. instant vanilla pudding mix
    2 3oz. pkgs. strawberry gelatin
    2 c. boiling water
    1 16oz. bowl frozen whipped topping, thawed
    1 quart frozen strawberries
    1 pint whole fresh sliced strawberries, optional

    Cut angel food cake into small squares.
    Prepare the gelatin with the boiling water, stirring until all the crystals are dissolved.
    Then add the frozen strawberries to the gelatin mix and stir until the strawberries are thawed completely. (This will turn into a soft gel while preparing the pudding).
    Prepare pudding according to package directions.

    Place between 1/3 and 1/2 of the cake pieces in the bottom of the punch bowl.
    Pour 1/2 of the pudding over the cake pieces layer.
    Pour 1/2 of the gelatin mixture over the pudding layer.
    Spread 1/2 of the whipped topping over the gelatin layer.
    Then place the rest of the cake pieces on top of the gelatin layer.
    The other half of the pudding on top.
    The other 1/2 of the gelatin mixture next.
    And finish off with the other 1/2 of the whipped topping.
    You should have 2 layers of each when done.
    Place the fresh strawberries on top of the whipped topping.
    Refrigerate to set completely before serving.
