cakemix - Strawberry Cake

1 two layer pkg. white cake mix
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 3oz. pkg. strawberry gelatin
1/2 c. mashed fresh strawberries
1 tbsp. flour

Preheat the oven to 350. Grease and flour a tube pan or a 9x13x2" pan.
Combine the cake mix, water and oil in a large mixer bowl and beat until blended.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix the gelatin, mashed strawberries and flour in a small mixing bowl and then add to the cake mixture and blend well. Spoon into cake pan.
Bake according to package directions or until a tester comes out clean.
Cool the cake in the pan on a wire rack.
Spread with a frosting or use an 8oz. container of thawed whipped topping.
Serve immediately or store, covered, in the refrigerator until just before serving time.
Top each serving with sliced fresh strawberries from a bowl of 1 1/2 c. fresh sliced strawberries.
