    scratch - Paradise Cake

    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup granulated white sugar
    2 well beaten eggs
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    2 cups flour
    1 cup chopped nuts
    1 cup chopped dates
    1 level teaspoon baking soda
    1 level teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly grease and
    flour 2, 9 inch baking pans.
    Cream sugar and butter and mix well. Add eggs and blend
    well. Mix in other ingredients.
    Bake for 1 hour, or until tester comes out clean.
    Use with your favorite frosting/icing.
