    4 c. + 2 tbsp. flour
    3 sticks butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    4 eggs, whites separated from yolks
    1 tbsp. vanilla
    3lbs. the little purple plums, approximately, quartered
    apricot or peach jam
    confectioners sugar

    Preheat oven to 375. Need a cookie sheet.
    Mix the 4 c. flour, butter, sugar, salt, egg yolks and vanilla together to make a dough.
    Press onto cookie sheet, forming a rim around the edge.
    Spread a thin layer of peach or apricot jam on top of the dough.
    Now put the quartered plums in rows on top of the jam.
    Beat egg whites slightly and brush over plums.
    Sprinkle the 2 tbsp. of flour over the egg whites.
    Shake some powdered confectioners sugar on top.
    Bake for 40 minutes.
