    scratch - Sun Cake

    1 1/4 cups cornstarch
    1 1/4 cups butter
    1 1/4 cups granulated white sugar
    10 eggs
    a little powdered confectioners sugar for dusting

    Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
    Grease a 9 inch round pan.
    Cream butter.
    Add cornstarch gradually.
    Whisk eggs and sugar over hot water until quite thick.
    Add eggs and sugar gradually to the cornstarch and butter.
    Pour the batter into pan.
    Bake about 25 - 30 minutes.
    Remove and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
