Mint Layer Squares

Mint Layer Squares
bottom cake layer:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup granulated white sugar
12 teaspoons salt
1, 16 ounce can Hershey's syrup
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
Beat above together and pour into a rectangular pan -
a little less than a 13x9. Bake 350 for 30 minutes.
Let cool.
creamy mint layer:
1/2 cup butter
2 cups powdered confectioners sugar
2 Tablespoons creme de menthe
food coloring if you want color
Beat together well. Spread on cooled layer.
Refrigerate to cool again for a short time.
chocolate frosting layer:
6 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips
6 Tablespoons butter
Melt chips and butter.
Pour on top of cooled layers.
Then tilt pan back and forth until chocolate
covers the top completely.
Place in refrigerator until it hardens.
Cut into small squares.
Serve in small muffin cups.
