    Layered Fresh Tomato Casserole

    2-3 pounds fresh tomatoes (5 or 6)
    1 pound sliced polish sausage, or of your choice
    1 chopped onion
    1 chopped sweet green bell pepper
    1 cup grated cheese
    1 cup flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

    Preheat over to 350 degrees F.
    Stir together flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
    Cut tomatoes into wedges or slices,
    Dredge through flour mixture as you are making layers.
    In a baking dish, make a layer of tomato, then sausage,
    then onion, then green pepper, and then the cheese.
    Repeat layers once more and place one last layer of
    tomatoes on top.
    Bake for 30 minutes. Let set 10 minutes before serving.
