Steak, Onion + Potato Casserole
1 pound extra lean ground beef
3 tablespoons steak sauce
1 medium clove garlic, crushed
2 tablepoons milk
2 teaspoons salt
1, 8 ounce can tomato sauce
1 medium sweet onion, thinly sliced in rings
4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Need 2 quart casserole dish.
In a bowl, mix beef, 2 tablespoons steak sauce, garlic, milk and 1 teaspoon salt.
Set aside. In small bowl, combine tomato sauce and remaining tablespoon of
steak sauce. Arrange potatoes in casserole dish.
Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon salt.
Pat meat mixture over potatoes. Separate onion rings over meat. Pour tomato
sauce over all. Bake, covered, for 1 hour or until
potatoes are tender. Remove from oven. Let rest, covered, for 10 minutes before
serving. Serves 4-6.
