    drop - Double Chocolate Dutch Cookies

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 cup softened butter
    1/2 cup shortening
    1 cup white granulated sugar
    2 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    salt to taste
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
    1/2 cup white chocolate chips

    Recipe


    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Use ungrease baking sheets.
    Cream together the butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt.
    Add the dry ingredients to the sugar mixture and mix well.
    Be careful not to over mix.
    Drop heaping teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet.
    Flatten with the tines of a fork.
    (You may dip the fork into small bowl of water so the
    dough will not stick to the fork).
    Bake for 13 - 15 minutes.
    This next part you will need to do quickly.
    Carefully place 3 or 4 of the semi sweet chips on 1/2 of each
    cookie's tops while they are still hot.
    Place the white chips on the other 1/2.
    When the chocolate is glossy and soft, spread with knife.
    Makes 40 cookies.
