List of Ingredients
2 egg whites
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 level teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup white granulated sugar
1, 6 ounce package semi sweet chocolate pieces
1/4 cup chopped walnuts, optional
Recipe
Preheat oven to 300. Line baking sheets with brown or parchment paper.
Beat the egg whites, salt, cream of tartar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
Gradually add the sugar, beating until peaks are stiff and glassy.
Fold in the chocolate pieces and nuts.
Drop batter by rounded teaspoons onto cookie sheets.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Makes 3 dozen.
