    drop - Persimmon Cookies

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup persimmon pulp
    1 level teaspoon baking soda
    1 cup white granulated sugar
    1/2 cup butter flavor or regular shortening
    1 beaten egg
    2 cups flour
    1 cups raisins
    1 cup chopped walnuts, optional
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
    1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1/2 teaspoon salt

    Recipe

    Preheat the oven to 350. Use ungreased baking sheets.
    Sprinkle the baking soda over the persimmon pulp. Set aside.
    Cream the sugar and shortening together. Then add the egg.
    Combine the pulp and mix well.
    Blend in the flour, raisins, nuts, and the spices.
    Drop onto baking cookie sheets and bake for 8 minutes or until done.
