List of Ingredients

for the cookies:
2 cups flour
1/2 level teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup softened butter, (1 stick)
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla

for the topping:
1 cup powdered or chopped walnuts
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup sour cream


Recipe

Preheat oven to 350. Use ungreased baking sheets.
for the cookies:
Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt and set aside.
Cream together the brown sugar and butter.
Add the egg and vanilla and cream again.
Add the dry ingredients and mix until blended.
Roll into 1 inch balls.
Make a depression in the center and place 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
for the topping:
Mix all the ingredients together until well blended.
Place in the cookie depressions.
Bake for 12 - 14 minutes.
