Now this one sounds more as if it would melt in your mouth.
Mary said this was from the back of an old Kellogg's Corn
Flakes box.
roll/cut - Kiffles #2, cream cheese
3 cups flour
1, 8 ounce package softened cream cheese
1 cup softened butter, (2 sticks)
assorted preserves or jams
powdered confectioners sugar for rolling
...or add chopped nuts to the sugar before baking,
...if desired
Mix the butter and cream cheese together until blended.
Add the flour and mix together until mixed.
(Sometimes using your own clean hands do this the best.)
(May also knead until mixed).
Roll the dough into small approximately walnut sized balls.
Refrigerate until firm...or overnight and finish the next day.
Sprinkle work surface with a little powdered confectioners
sugar and roll out.
Cut into 6 to 8 wedges, depending on the size of the ball.
Put about 1 tablespoon jam or preserves on the wide end.
Starting at the wide end, roll up towards the point.
Place point side down on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 375 degrees F. for approximately 15 minutes, or
until lightly browned.
