Recipe Introduction
This is a very simple, tasty low fat dish.
List of Ingredients
fresh - Taco Chicken
8-9 chicken thighs/legs, skinless
1 pkg of taco seasoning mix
1/2 stick butter
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Wash chicken thighs/legs thoroughly.
Place in a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish. They should fit snugly in the
dish. Take the package of taco seasoning mix and mix in a glass of
warm water, stirring until dissolved. Pour this mixture over chicken,
adding water until the chicken is almost covered. Put a pat of butter
on each piece of chicken. Place in middle of oven and let bake for
about 20 minutes, then turn the pieces of chicken. Let cook at least
20 more minutes, until the chicken tests done. Not only is this low
fat but definitely a new taste for chicken. The only fat really comes
from the butter. You can substitute the butter for any low fat
margarine or butter that you wish.
