fresh - Chicken Squares w/Creamy Sauce
4 c. chicken broth
1/2 c. flour
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. butter
6 eggs, beaten
1, 8 ounce package herb stuffing mix
3 c. cubed uncooked chicken
Melt butter. Add flour, salt and pepper.
Slowly add broth.
Add eggs. This is the gravy. Set aside
Place stuffing in 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
Top with chicken.
Pour gravy over top.
Bake at 375 degrees F. for 40 minutes to 1 hour,
or until inserted knife comes out clean.
Let stand for 5 minutes; cut into squares.
Serve with sauce:
1 can pimento pieces
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 c. milk
1 c. sour cream
Combine ingredients; heat (do not boil) in double boiler.
Serves 10 - 12.
