8 ounces uncooked spaghetti
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups milk
1 cup chicken broth (broth mix in warm water is O.K.)
3 cups chopped cooked chicken
2 cups chopped cooked broccoli (frozen is O.K.)
1 can (4 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
Grated Parmesan cheese
Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
Drain and toss with a little Olive oil to keep from
sticking.
Melt butter in a heavy saucepan. Stir in flour, salt,
pepper and garlic powder. Gradually stir in milk
and chicken broth. Cook and stir until thickened.
Add chicken, broccoli and mushrooms. Pour over
spaghetti; toss. Pass Parmesan cheese to sprinkle
over each serving.
Makes 8 servings.
