Recipe Introduction

This is close. A good ketchup recipe that is cheaper than store bought, and tastes good. You may use all white vinegar, if desired.

List of Ingredients

Heinz's - Ketchup

1, 6 ounce can tomato paste with garlic, (or add
...use 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder to plain)
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup white balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon white granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil using a medium heat.
Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring often.
Remove from heat and cover until cooled.
Keep in a covered container in the refrigerator.
Makes 24 servings.
