Cream Cheese w/Apple Glaze

1 cup apple wine
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1, 8 ounce package cream cheese
slivered almonds

Combine apple wine and sugar in a small sauce pan.
Bring to a boil, turn down the heat and stir to a
smooth syrup. Reduce by half stirring occasionally
(takes about 5 minutes).
Place cream cheese in the center of a serving dish
and pour the glaze over top.
Sprinkle with almonds, if desired.
Serve with canape crackers.
