    Pine+Apple Pretzel Salad

    1 cup pretzels, crushed
    1/3 cup sugar
    1/2 cup butter or margarine,melted

    1~ 8-oz. cream cheese,softened
    1/2 cup sugar
    1~ 8-oz. cool whip topping
    1~20.oz can pineapple tidbits, drained
    3 granny smith apples, cut in small bites

    Mix together pretzels, 1/3 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup melted
    butter or margarine. Spread mixture in a 9x13 pan. Bake
    at 400 degrees for 7 minutes~be sure not to overcook!
    Stir to break up and cool. Set aside.

    Cream the cream cheese with the 1/2 cup of sugar. Fold in
    the Cool Whip, pineapple and apples. Chill 2-3 hours.
    When ready to serve, fold the pretzel mixture into the
    salad. It is still good served the next day, but then the
    pretzels will start getting soggy.
