Make in a batch and freeze. Then just heat in OVEN and
not the microwave, as they get soggy in a microwave.
Apple Sausage Crescents
8 brown and serve light breakfast sausage links
1 cup dried apple slices
3/4 cup water
Pinch cinnamon
1, 8 ounce tub reduced fat crescent dough
Thaw sausages in micro and set aside.
Combine apple slices, water cinnamon in a saucepan and bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer stirring until apples are tender and liquid has
evaporated, about 5 minutes.
Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Place sauce and
1 T of apple mixture along base of each crescent and roll up
completely to enclose filling. Bend sides slightly inwards to form a
crescent shape. Place on baking sheet and bake until puffed and
lightly browned along edges, about 12 minutes. Serve hot.
