    Chicken Squares

3 oz. cream cheese, softened to room temperature
    3 Tbsp. butter, divided
    2 c. cooked chicken
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion
    8 oz. quick crescent rolls
1 to 2 tbsp sandwich sprinkle (Penzey's product)

Blend cream cheese and 2 tbsp of the butter.
Add cooked chicken, salt, pepper and onions; mix well.
Separate crescent rolls, using groups of two to form
rectangles - you will have 4 rectangles.
Firmly press diagonal line together; spoon 1/2 cup
    mixture onto center of rectangle.
Fold the edges of the rectangle over the filling.
Seal edges shut with mixture inside.
Melt remaing 1 tablespoon butter and brush on top of
    the crescents.
Lightly sprinkle each with the sandwich sprinkle.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

    Notes:
A simple and delicious meal. Very pretty too!
I used unsalted butter and about 2 1/2 c chicken.
    Excellent!!
