Hot Dog Wraps

1 pound all meat hot dogs (frankfurters)
4 cheese slices, each cut into 4 strips
1, 8 ounce package refrigerated crescent rolls

Cut a lengthwise pocket in each hot dog to within
1/2 inch of ends.
Insert 2 cheese strips into each pocket.
Separate crescent roll dough into triangles.
Wrap 1 triangle around each hot dog.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet, cheese-side up.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 12 to 15 minutes or until
golden brown.
Makes 8 servings.

Variation:
Spread crescent roll dough with thin layer of mustard,
barbecue sauce or salsa and continue as directed.
