Recipe Introduction

I've made this one, it had a different name, but I baked it in the oven for 5 hours...cannot remember the exact name of it...could be 5 hour stew??. Serve with a salad and crusty bread.

List of Ingredients

crockpot - Beef Stew #1

2 pounds stewing beef
1 onion, sliced
2 c. chopped celery
2 c. chopped carrots
2 c. chunked potatoes
2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. tapioca
1, 46oz. can vegetable juice

Brown the beef and onions together in a frying pan.
Then place into the crockpot/slow cooker.
Sprinkle the rest of the ingredients in the crockpot in the order given.
Cover.
Cook on high for 1 hour.
Turn to low and cook for 8 hours.
