    Crockpot - Beer Cake

    List of Ingredients




    2/3 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 eggs
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 c. beer
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. chopped walnuts

    Recipe



    Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
    Add the eggs one at a time and mix well.
    Stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
    Add to the creamy mixture alternately with the beer.
    Stir in the raisins and nuts.
    Butter well and flour a 2 pound coffee can.
    Pour the batter into the can and set it into the crockpot/slow cooker.
    Cover the can with 4/5 paper towels.
    Place the lid on, loosely, to allow steam to escape.
    Cook on high for 3 1/2 hours or until cake is done.
    Remove from crockpot and allow to cool on wire rack for 15 minutes before removing from pan.
