crockpot - Pork Roast with Gravy
4 - 5 lbs. loin end roast
1 clove sliced garlic
2 med. sliced onions, separated in half
1 bay leaf
1 whole clove
1 c. hot water
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Rub the roast with the salt and pepper.
Make tiny slits in the meat and insert slivers of the garlic.
Put half of the sliced onions in the bottom of the crockpot/slow cooker.
Add the roast, the other 1/2 of the onions and then the other ingredients.
Cover and cook on high for 1 hour.
Then cook on low for 9 - 10 hours or until done.
for the gravy:
Remove the roast, onions, clove and bay leaf.
In a cup or bowl, blend 2 tbsp. Cold water with 2 tbsp. cornstarch to form smooth paste.
Turn the crockpot to high and stir in the paste. Continue to stir well and come to a boil until thickened, (10 to 15 minutes).
