    crockpot - BeefSteak Roulade

    3 pounds round beef steaks (thin)
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon pepper
    3/4 cup onion, chopped
    3/4 cup bacon, chopped
    1/4 cup water

    Trim fat off steaks. Season with salt and pepper.
    Mix onion and bacon together and spread over each
    steak. Roll up, jelly roll style, tying tightly in several
    places with a string. Place into crockpot/slow cooker.
    Add water. Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours.
    For gravy: Remove meat when done, and thicken liquid
    with a mixture of flour and water. Cook in pot set
    at High for 15 minutes.
