This sauce is terrific and makes a great brisket. The sauce is very good
on meatballs also. Good party dish.

crockpot - Beef Brisket, Sweet + Savory

1 fresh beef brisket (3 to 3-1/2 pounds) cut in half
1 cup ketchup
1/4 to 1/2 cup grape jelly, to your taste
1 envelope onion soup mix
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Place half of the brisket in a crockpot/slow cooker.
In a bowl, combine the ketchup, jelly, soup mix and pepper.
Spread half over meat.
Place the remaining meat on top and then the rest of the
ketchup mixture.
Cover and cook on Low for 8-10 hours or until meat is tender.
Slice brisket; serve with cooking juices.
