crockpot - Polish Sausage Stew
1 can condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 can or bag (24 to 32 oz.) sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1-1/2 lb. Polish sausage, cut in 2" pieces
4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup shredded mild Cheddar or Jack cheese
In a crock pot, combine the soup, sugar, and sauerkraut. Mix well.
Add and stir in sausage, potato, and onion. Cover and cook on LOW for 8
hours.
Skim off excess fat; stir in cheese. Spoon into serving bowls and top with
additional shredded cheese.
Makes 6 servings.
