    crockpot - Ravioli Casserole #1*

    1, 10 ounce package frozen chopped spinach
    1, 8 ounce package twisty (spiral) pasta
    1 pound ground beef
    1/2 pound ground sausage
    1 onion, finely chopped
    2 Tablespoons oil
    2, 8 ounce cans tomato sauce
    1 1/2 teaspoons dried minced garlic
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    1 cup 4 ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
    3 green onions, chopped

    Defrost spinach. Squeeze dry, very well.
    Cook pasta al dente to package directions. Drain.
    Brown meats and onion in oil until crumbly.
    Add tomato sauce, garlic, salt, pepper and oregano.
    Cover. Simmer 30 minutes.
    Stir in spinach.
    Butter bottom and sides of crockpot/slow cooker.
    Turn crockpot on High.
    Spoon half the pasta into the crockpot.
    Top with half of meat mixture and half the Parmesan cheese.
    Cover with layers of remaining pasta, meat and Parmesan
    cheese.
    Sprinkle with Jack cheese and green onions.
    Cook on high for one hour.
    Serves 8.
