crockpot - Sweet + Sour Meatballs
2 pounds ground beef
1 egg
2 Tablespoons bread crumbs
Mix above and make into balls.
Place in skillet and brown on HIGH for a few minutes, turning
meatballs as necessary.
Turn temperature down to low, cover and continue cooking
until meatballs are 'firm' when pierced with a fork.
Remove meatballs from skillet and drain on paper towels placed on a plate.
Mix together and cook on LOW heat until all are blended.
1, 10 ounce jar chili sauce
1, 8 ounce jar grape jelly
2 to 3 Tablespoons lemon juice
Place meatballs into this sauce in crockpot/slow cooker.
Cook for 30 minutes on MEDIUM heat and then reduce to LOW to
keep warm.
(Extra sauce is excellent gravy for potatoes or rice.)
