Ice Cream Dessert #1, w/cereal

1 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
3 cups crisp rice cereal
1 half gallon container of vanilla ice cream

In large saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar
and melt over medium heat.
Be careful not to burn.
When fully mixed, add cereal.
Thoroughly coat cereal with mixture.
In buttered 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan, pat down 3/4's of
the cereal mixture.
Cut ice cream into squares and place on top.
Layer remaining mixture on top.
Freeze until solid.
Cut into squares to serve.
Makes 12 to 16 servings.
