Amish - Pumpkin Bread
3 cups white granulated sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 beaten eggs
1, 16 ounce can solid pack pumpkin
3 1/2 cups flour
2/3 cup water
2 level teaspoons baking soda
2 (scant) teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Mix sugar, oil and eggs together. Add pumpkin.
Add dry ingredient and finally water, stirring just
until mixed. Pour batter into two (2) greased and
floured 9x5 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
Especially good spread with cream cheese.
